child), Hon La (Leaf Island), Hon Tai (Ear Island) and Hon Ong (Man Island). The total population of the Cham Islands is approximately 3,000. Each time visiting the Cham Islands, I had different feelings. On my first time to the Cham Islands, I felt overwhelmed by the great space while the sky was in harmony with the sea and the forest. For the second time, I was excited diving in the blue sea, watching the breathtaking coral reefs or joining night squid fishing trip. The third time, I came here for love. I love the local habitants who are protecting and preserving the islands with their endless love and faith. The Cham Islands are a historical and cultural relic closely related to the establishment and development of the urban town and trading harbour of Hoi An. There are many relics of Sa Huynh culture, Cham Pa culture and Dai Viet culture. Architecture structures of the Viet and Cham peoples here date back hundreds of years. The Cham Islands are attractive to visitors thanks to year-round cool weather and diverse flora and fauna. The coral reefs in the marine area of the Cham Islands are highly appreciated and listed in the World’s Red Book of Endangered Species. According to Mr Jackie Han, Deputy Director ofHoabinhtourist & Convention, visitors to Quang Nam Province make up a large proportion of the domestic tours of the company. As the Cham Islands are a World Biosphere Reserve, people come here to relax, go snorkelling, discover the life of local people and enjoy the unspoilt beauty of the islands.

Via Tejakula-Batur The best sights to be seen in this area are made up of a combination of two places: Mount Batur and Lake Batur. From Penelokan we are able to admire a majestic (and still active) volcano and see the sparkling blue waters of the lake. Traversing the lake, the wakes of boats indicate where tourists and local people are carried across to Trunyan village, one of the communities of the Bali Aga, or original inhabitants of Bali . Batur is located in the Kintamani district about 32 km from the main town of Bangli . Surrounded by lovely green hills where the air is fresh and cool, it is no wonder that Sutan Takdir Ali Syahbana, the famous poet, chose this place to construct his Balai Seni, the art building of Toyobungkah. Here we can find a natural hot spring on the side of the volcano, which flows into a small pond right on the edge of Lake Batur . It is used daily by people who believe that the waters are beneficial in curing skin ailments and disorders. It is located on the western side of Lake Batur , opposite Trunyan village. Ubud Village , the Blanco renaissance Museum Ubud Village is located in the Gianyar Regency. Ubud is frequently visited by tourists because you can see the Balinese life and the execution of the Hindu ritual here. Antonio Blanco, who died in December 1999, was an eccentric Catalonian artist and one of the great characters of Ubud. His home and gallery as well as the museum. Wildlife tourism

Wildlife tourism can be an eco and animal friendly tourism, usually showing animals in their natural habitat. Wildlife tourism, in its simplest sense, is watching wild animals in their natural habitat. Wildlife tourism is an important part of the tourism industries in many countries including many African and South American countries, Australia, India, Canada, Indonesia, Bangladesh,

ШУУД ҮЗЭХ

Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Maldives among many. It has experienced a dramatic and rapid growth in recent years worldwide and is closely aligned to eco-tourism and sustainable-tourism. Wildlife tourism is also a multimillion-dollar industry offering customized tour packages and safaris. Wildlife tourism encompasses non-consumptive interactions with wildlife, such as observing and photographing animals in their natural habitats. It has the recreational aspects of adventure travel, and supports the values of ecotourism and nature conservation programs. Wildlife tourism can cause significant disturbances to animals in their natural habitats. The growing interest in traveling to developing countries has created a boom in resort and hotel construction, particularly on rain forest and mangrove forest lands. Wildlife viewing can scare away animals, disrupt their feeding and nesting sites, or acclimate them to the presence of people. In Kenya, for example, wildlife-observer disruption drives cheetahs off their reserves, increasing the risk of inbreeding and further endangering the species.

One of the most visited countries in the world, France conjures up an image of long hot summer days and probably the desire not to come home again. When we think of France we usually think of fine wine and cuisine, exceptional scenery and a laid back lifestyle which is the envy of the world. The diverse landscape – which has inspired centuries of influential writers, artists and poets – include huge mountain ranges, acres of green countryside and miles of gorgeous coastline. Paris aside, here are my top 10 of the most beautiful places in France (in no particular order): The birthplace of champagne is also one of the most beautiful regions in France and of course it’s very popular with wine trail tourists. the enchantingly beautiful scenery. Moreover, Nyang River and the area around it have many sites. It is classed among the most magnificent sights on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau. It's considered to be a hospitable environment for wild birds. After one nature reserve for black-necked cranes along the route grass sea nature protection area was established on the middle reaches of the Yarlungzangbo River, the amount of black-necked cranes wintering there has gone up year by year, making up nearly 80% of the earth's total number of black-necked cranes. The beauty of the river consists in the unique color of water. The water in the river was just so clear as of jade-like blue standing out against the splashing white sprays. The crystal, fresh green and immaculate white creates an interesting visual effect that seethed with activity and is indistinguishable from each other. Tibetans used to worship nature. It expresses man's worship and respect for the mysterious and mighty nature. The local people from generation to generation all worship the mighty mountains and admired the grandeur of the rivers by the fairy stories and beautiful music and dance.

Algarve travel guide

Algarve travel guide An insider's guide to Algarve, featuring the region's best hotels, restaurants, bars, shops, attractions and things to do, including how to travel there and around. By Mary Lussiana, Telegraph Travel's Algarve expert. Click on the tabs below for the best places to stay, eat, drink and shop, including the best things to do and the best beaches. Travel journalist Mary Lussiana has lived on the Algarve since 2001, from where, in between trips to other corners of the world, she is a regular contributor to English newspapers and magazines on the region's new hotels, best restaurants, hidden beaches, top spas and more. Why go? You could sum up simply by saying the light. For the light on the Algarve is fantastic. To draw the curtains each morning and see the high blue skies and the bright, energising light never fails to raise my spirits, even after 12 years of living here. But there is much more than that. It’s a region of hidden delights, of golden beaches framed by beautifully wrought limestone rocks, of small, simple restaurants where the taste of the fish – just caught, just grilled and drizzled with a local olive oil – will pull you back time and time again. There are so many layers to the Algarve. Inland, up in the hills of Monchique, you will see a way of life that has disappeared from much of Europe. Days revolve around the seasons – killing the pig and gathering provisions for winter; collecting chestnuts and picking berries to make the local firewater. Olives, oranges, carobs and almonds are pulled from the trees and sold at markets. In villages of small cobbled streets, you’ll find whitewashed houses, cafes with cloth-capped men having their bica (espresso) and women grilling sardines in the streets. The sea is part of a different layer of Algarve life – one that’s also closely bound to nature. You can see locals wading into the Atlantic at low tide to find cockles and barnacles, and all along the coast, fishermen, who learnt the trade from their fathers, go out for squid and octopus, for sardines and tuna. Against this backdrop of real life is the layer for holidaymakers. By the fringes of the sea, in the centre of the Algarve, resorts line the cliffs – some are attractively set in lush gardens, such as Vila Joya or Vila Vita Parc (see Hotels); others (not included here) are soulless, concrete monstrosities. Greenland: the best new holidays

Greenland may be one of the world's last great wildernesses but visitor numbers are increasing. With the release of a new film, Village at the End of the World, sure to generate further interest, we round up the best trips to the remote island With every new travel brochure that's published the world seems a little smaller. Remote and exotic lands that were previously inaccessible to all but the most intrepid explorer have become holiday destinations. From the jungles of Papua New Guinea to the wilderness of northern Canada's Torngat mountains, and from the backwater villages of Burma to the empty steppes of Siberia, travellers who have the money and the sense of adventure are spoilt for choice. And that choice increases every season. Then, as the travellers' saying goes: "when you've seen the world, there's always Greenland." The planet's largest (non-continental) island, and one of the most sparsely populated, is also one of the least visited places in the world. But this summer Greenland's 58,000-strong population can expect to see an increase in the number of tourists venturing on to their remote shores, thanks to the combined effects of new documentary Village at the End of the World, and the significant increase in the number of trips being offered by adventure and cruise ship operators. Village at the End of the World tells the story of Niaqornat in north-west Greenland, a village of 59 people clinging to the edge of an iceberg-strewn bay. The film follows lonely teenager, Lars, the only 17-year-old in a village he has never left, who feels the pull of the outside world which he connects to virtually via his 200 Facebook friends. While Lars is desperate to leave, other residents are fighting to maintain their traditional hunting way of life, despite the thinning ice making it more dangerous and the younger generation showing little interest in following in their parents' footsteps. Conquering your fears in Alaska

In 2014, I packed a tent, camping gear, some clothes, and flew to Christchurch. The plan was to bike solo for a week on the trails criss-crossing the South Island. Day one was an easy ride by turquoise lakes. Day two, in contrast, started with a two-hour climb on a mountain trail. By the time the weather changed, I hadn’t seen a soul all morning. A thick fog engulfed me, restricting my vision. A fierce wind picked up. The temperature dropped. Soon, it started to rain. The whole situation felt absurd: was I seriously going to be that tourist? The hapless French woman who phones rescue services begging for a chopper ride? While not in a life-or-death situation, I also knew that a handful of hikers die in remote areas of the country every year. What if the weather deteriorated further? Over the next couple of hours, the mix of solitude, fear and disorientation got to me. By now truly scared, I pushed on, rode down the pass, finished my week of cycling, and upon coming home developed a mild case of what a friend calls “wilderness PTSD”. For months, I had nightmares about big, wild open spaces. I fretted about getting lost while hiking. At my worst point, I didn’t feel safe outside. Thresholds are relative. What might be intimidating to an enthusiast will be a piece of cake for an athlete. What comes naturally to locals seems unworkable to visitors. And a bad experience for a solo woman on a bike is just a funny holiday story to a group of friends. Still, I felt ashamed. I was a wuss. A year later, almost back to normal, I had yet to face my fears. After years of reading everything I could about the Last Frontier and the stories of those who persevered in such a wild environment, I headed up there. Ice Cave Juneau Facebook Twitter Pinterest The author under the Mendenhall glacier. Photograph: Patrick Courtnage I had a list of activities to gently push my limits: hiking, climbing, fish-killing, flying, sailing. I started with a hike on the outskirts of Alaska’s capital, Juneau, on the west Mendenhall glacier trail. The two guides behind Adventure Flow, Eric and Patrick, volunteered to show me their favourite route, warning me that it would be a moderately taxing day out. (As a friend once told me, if a guide enthusiastically talks about a “moderate” activity, run). Juneau, a city only accessible by plane or ferry, is renowned for its hundreds of miles of deserted trails winding through peaks and valleys. The glacier is reachable by helicopters, an option that gets visitors in and out in a matter of minutes. A more demanding route is to conquer it by foot – which Eric insisted is way more rewarding. You sweat, scramble, climb, wade through water – and truly deserve the view. Read more...http://www.theguardian.com

Vacation Ideas and Travel Tips

The Klamath tribe of Oregon believes that Crater Lake was the site of a battle between the Chief of the Above World and the Chief of the Below World. When we modern folks visit a beautiful natural site, the experience may evoke a sense of peace, a feeling of awe...or just the need to snap a million photos. For our ancient forbearers, though, these places were so much more. Throughout history, civilizations all

over the globe have attached spiritual or religious importance to natural spots (ie. not man-made places) that played key roles in their respective cultures. From the mythological homes of powerhouse gods like Zeus and Shiva to the serene spot where the mortal Buddha achieved enlightenment, these are the places of legends. Some are still used for age-old rituals, others have been lost to time, but all crackle with a special energy and, if you're lucky, just a little bit of leftover magic. SEE THE SACRED PLACES! Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, Australia Located in Australia's Red Centre, in the heart of the continent, these two natural rock formations are the main attractions in the World Heritage Site Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. One of the country's more recognizable landmarks, Uluru is a flat-topped sandstone rock standing about 1,100 feet high and almost six miles around, with a soulful, deep-red hue that changes throughout the day. (The site is also known as Ayers Rock, so named by the colonial surveyor who "rediscovered" the place in 1873.) About 30 miles away, Kata Tjuta (a.k.a. The Olgas) is made of more than 30 domes of varying rock types, including granite, sandstone, and basalt; the tallest point is almost 1,800 feet high. Both sites are sacred to the Anangu people of the Pitjantjatjara Aboriginal tribe, who believe the rocks were built during the ancient creation period and are still inhabited by ancestor spirits. (Archeologist work suggests there were humans in this area over 20,000 years ago.) Owned by the Anangu and leased by the government, the park is open to the public, though tribespeople continue to perform rituals and ceremonies in various locations, such as the sacred "Dreamtime" track that runs near the modern hiking trail. The park also houses a Cultural Center and Aboriginal rock art sites, and ranger guided tours are available. Mountain View

Wanting to relax to a scenic environment while visiting Cebu, Philippines? The I would greatly suggest Mountain View Nature's Park at Busay. You do not have to travel far from the city to enjoy peace and tranquility.Less than an hour away from the main city before reaching the tran-central highway and a few meters away from Marco Polo Hotel, you will find this continuously developing mountain resort. Ideal for family, friends and lovers. There are camping sites, rooms for rent for as low as Php700 overnight stay,

ШУУД ҮЗЭХ

social halls with video karaoke machines, and recently the resort opened their newest attraction which is the swimming pool with mini zoo. Before you have to experience this though, you would have to pay Php50 entrance fee then you can wander anywhere you want except the swimming pool area. There is a separate entrance fee for the swimming pool, Php100 for adults and Php75 for children below 3 ft. If you just want to wander around the pool you would have to pay Php50 which is the down side but the place is really marvelous and drop jaw awesome. You can also order food in the canteen or in the pool area and they will deliver the food persnally in your rented room. The place is rather enormous, you would have to walk a few kilometers to be able to reach the tip of the entire resort which is the crucifix or if you prefer the short cut then you would have to endure 420 stair steps towards it. There are statues inside the vicinity that will rekindle your childhood years, frogs in bikinis, a tree with face, musical men, Disney characters, a tumbling pig, a dinosaur, sea creatures and among others. The best thing about Mountain View Nature's Park resort happens during the night, one can just adore the panoramic scenery of city lights, like a symphonic tiny little stars on land. In the morning you can hike around and take some pictures of the sorroundings, a good way to unwind and do a little of exercise like jogging and brisk walking. I have been in this place numerous times and everytime I visit, there is always something new. This makes me very glad that I am a Cebuana and can enjoy such simple pleasures as Mountain View Nature's Park Resort.
