Roundabout Travel

We booked the Karst and Coast Mystery tour through the tourist information and had such a fun day that we booked a further two tours with roundabout (Alpine Fairytale and Postojna Cave & Castle). The guides were brilliant, really friendly, knowledgeable and very flexible. The groups are small (around 7 people) so your guide can allow you more time somewhere if you are really enjoying

the area or you can skip bits you don’t fancy. When looking at things to do in Slovenia before I left I thought there would be no chance to fit everything in, but with Roundabouts tours we managed to do everything we had wanted to do and more! I would definitely advise booking their trips if you have a short time and alot to fit in. Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj along with the Vintgar Gorge were truly stunning but I can honestly say that I enjoyed everything that we saw. Beautiful country and Roundabout help you see it in a relaxed and fun way. My daughter and I had been travelling for almost 2 months through Europe and we can honestly say this was one of the highlights of our time away. Eva was an outstanding tour guide who taught us so much about this wonderful country and its history. The scenery was simply breathtaking and Eva was incredibly hospitable, knowledgable and generous with her time. We had so much fun on this trip, took some amazing photos, made friends with a lovely Scottish couple and came away just wanting to return to Slovenia and Ljubljana. I can’t recommend this tour highly enough and Eva is thoroughly deserves of high praise. DAY 1 From Ljubljana to Bled, the magnificent Alpine resort with a mountain lake and a tiny island in the middle and old castle up on the cliff. A chance to take a stroll through the fantastic Vintgar gorge and then we head on to Bohinj, take a swim and have lunch by the glacial alpine lake in the Triglav National Park. After that we cross the highest Slovenian mountain pass Vrsic, through Trenta valley to Bovec, a natural monument known by the emerald green Alpine Soca River and Slovenian extreme sport center. Here we can join one of the extreme water sports or natural hikes. Overnight in Bovec. DAY 2 Through the magnificent Karst region to Kobarid, visit the museum of the 1st World War or Kozjak waterfall. We continue our trip through Stanjel, with typical Karst houses and castle, to Lipica, the homeland of the white Lipizzaner and continue to Piran, Slovenian medieval coastal jewel. After a break for swimming, time for lunch from where we head on to Skocjan caves, one of the largest and the most beautiful Karst sights. Read more...http://www.travel-slovenia.com
